Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh addressed a fan’s concerns about Hindi cricket commentary quality on Tuesday. The fan had posted a detailed video criticising the current state of commentary panels across tournaments.
Harbhajan, who serves as a commentator alongside Virender Sehwag, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa, and Ambati Rayudu, promised to consider the feedback.

A cricket enthusiast shared his concerns on social media platform X about the deteriorating quality of Hindi commentary.
“To all our cricket broadcasters, the IPL is going on right now, and a few days ago, the Champions Trophy was going on. I humbly request you all to please improve your Hindi commentary.”
“Earlier, when we used to watch Hindi commentary in our childhood, Maninder Singh, Arun Lal and Sushil Doshi used to do the commentary. So, we used to learn a lot about the game.”
“The fielder has taken a fine leg, a square leg, a deep mid wicket. So, the bowler will bowl a short ball here.”
Harbhajan responded to the criticism with a brief message: “Thanks for the input. We will work on it.”
The exchange gained significant attention on social media, with many users supporting the view that Hindi commentary has shifted away from technical cricket analysis.
This wasn’t the first time Harbhajan addressed criticism about Hindi commentary. During the Champions Trophy, when a fan called Hindi commentary ‘cringiest’ after India’s victory over Pakistan, Harbhajan had responded differently.
