Australia will look to make the most of its favourable record at Adelaide in order to bounce back in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India starting on Friday.
The host suffered an ignominous 295-run defeat in the series opener in Perth last week and will be without Josh Hazlewood for the second contest.
However, Andrew McDonald’s team will take heart from its perfect record in day-night Tests at the Adelaide Oval where it has won seven out of seven. Further, India was bundled out for its lowest Test total, 36, the last time it paid a visit to the venue.
The last time Australia played in Adelaide in a pink-ball Test was in 2022 when it beat West Indies by a whopping 419 runs.
