In the ongoing edition, Rajasthan Royals has showcased a commendable performance, securing victory in eight out of the eleven matches played thus far. Despite a strong showing, recent setbacks against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals have tempered their momentum.

With playoff qualification within reach, Sanju Samson’s squad is determined to rebound from these defeats as they prepare to face an inconsistent Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. A win in this crucial encounter would not only reignite their campaign but also secure their position in the playoffs.

Reflecting on their journey, Royals all-rounder Donovan Ferreira emphasized the significance of maintaining consistency, particularly in the latter stages of the tournament. Addressing the media in Chennai on May 11, Ferreira underscored the team’s ambition to secure their playoff berth without undue delay, recognizing the importance of avoiding last-minute pressure.

“If we can win this game, it gives us a better chance of finishing in the top two. Playing against Chennai is always big, they are a good team. It can go either way, but if we play our brand of cricket, then it will go our way.

“I think the team that assesses the conditions quickly and adapts well will emerge on top. Being an away game, we want to adapt fast and execute our plans,” he said.
