Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been cleared to play in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as a pure batter.
Marsh, who was ruled out of Australia’s ODI tour to Sri Lanka and the Champions Trophy 2025 due to a back injury, is expected to join the Lucknow-based franchise next week.
According to reports, Marsh saw a specialist in February and has returned to batting in the recent weeks.
Marsh was sold to LSG for Rs. 3.3 crore in the IPL 2025 auction and might only play as an impact player since he won’t be bowling.
In the last season as well, Marsh, who was then playing for the Delhi Capitals, returned home after first four matches due to a hamstring injury.
