He may have just missed out on a century, but PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer definitely skyrocketed his way into the hearts of all who witnessed his innings, and the IPL 2025 Orange Cap standings after his team’s 11-run win against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday.
Iyer’s gobsmacking 97* powered his team to a mammoth total of 243, which ultimately proved to be enough for the new sipper to claim his first win with PBKS.

Iyer struck as many as nine sixes and five fours but he could not get to his maiden IPL hundred, as Shashank took 23 runs off the final over to end the PBKS innings on a high note.
Albeit impressive, Iyer still falls just short of star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who played an unbeaten knock of 106 runs from 47 balls for Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday afternoon against Rajasthan Royals, continues to lead the Orange Cap race.
Two Lucknow Super Giants batters – Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh – after scoring 75 and 72 runs, respectively, on Monday also made the cut for the top 5 of the list.
But, Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan introduced himself yet again with a scintillating 75 in his lost cause against PBKS tonight, and shot himself up to 4th on the list: right in between both LSG batters.
