Orange Cap in IPL 2025 (Most Runs): Nicholas Pooran scored 44 runs from 30 balls for Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday (April 1) in the IPL 2025 match played against Punjab Kings at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow to take his tally of runs to 189 in this year’s IPL. The left-handed batter from the West Indies, who was retained for Rs 21 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auctions, top-scored for the Lucknow-based franchise for the third match in a row and also extended his lead at the top of batters with the most runs in IPL 2025.
He has scored 40 more runs than Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer, who, after remaining unbeaten on 52 runs in PBKS’ 8-wicket win over LSG, moved to No. 2 position. Iyer, who was signed for Rs 26.75 crore by PBKS in the IPL 2025 mega auction, has 157 runs to his name in two matches played so far in the world’s richest franchise cricket league this year.

The right-handed batter from Mumbai kicked off his IPL 2025 campaign on Tuesday (March 25) by remaining unbeaten on 97 runs against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and followed it up with another fifty.
GT’s Sai Sudharsan, who will take the field against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday (April 2), is in third place with 137 runs in two matches, and he is followed by Travis Head of SRH (136 runs) and Mitchell Marsh of LSG (124 runs).
Marsh had the chance to overtake his Australian teammate and Sai Sudharsan on Tuesday, but he failed to open his account against the Shreyas Iyer-led side.
