Most Wickets in IPL 2025, Purple Cap: Chennai Super Kings spinner Noor Ahmad, after taking three wickets for 36 runs in four overs on Friday (March 28) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has once again jumped to the No. 1 position in the list of bowlers with most wickets in IPL 2025. The 22-year-old cricketer from Afghanistan, who picked up 4/18 against the Mumbai Indians on March 23, has now taken his tally of total wickets in IPL 2025 to 7 in two matches.
He is followed by Shardul Thakur of LSG, who has six wickets to his name in two IPL 2025 matches played so far. RCB fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is in third place with five wickets to his name. The Australian speedster dismissed three CSK batters on Friday. He opened his wicket account by removing Rahul Tripathi (5) on the second ball of the second over of the run chase and then dismissed CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad for a four-ball duck.
While Tripathi was caught by Phil Salt, Gaikwad handed a simple catch to substitute fielder Manoj Bhandage.
He also sent Ravindra Jadeja back to the dugout on the fourth ball of the 19th over of the 197-run chase, which CSK failed to achieve.
CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed is in fourth place with four wickets in two matches. The left-arm pacer from Rajasthan picked up one wicket in the CSK-RCB match. He dismissed RCB wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma on the fourth ball of his last over.

RCB’s uncapped Indian pacer Yash Dayal, who finished the CSK-RCB match with figures of 2 for 18 in three overs, is in fifth place with 3 wickets to his name in two matches of IPL 2025, but his teammate Krunal Pandya has now dropped to 10th place.
Krunal bowled two overs for RCB on Friday but failed to take any wicket and was smacked for 26 runs.
