The tourists have already retained the Rose Bowl after winning Saturday’s rain-affected ODI via the DLS Method, taking a 1-0 lead in the three match series.
Although the third match is a dead rubber, it looms as Australia’s final hitout before the Ashes, which gets underway on January 12.
Australian captain Alyssa Healy has won the toss and chosen to bat first. The White Ferns have not defeated Australia in an ODI since 2017.
The first ball at the Basin Reserve gets underway at 9am AEDT.
