India’s tour of Sri Lanka will consist of a three-match T20I series starting on July 27, followed by a three-match ODI series commencing on August 2. The T20I matches will take place at the Pallekele International Stadium, while the R Premadasa Stadium will host the ODI series. The ODIs are scheduled for August 2, 4, and 7.
Both teams will feature new head coaches for the series. Legendary all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya has been named the interim head coach for the Lankan Lions. Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir will take charge as India’s head coach, succeeding the T20 World Cup-winning coach Rahul Dravid. This series marks Gambhir’s first assignment as head coach.
